Positively Paraguay

Last year at this time, MicroAid finished building a permanent house for a flood-survivor family in Paraguay—the wonderful Figueredo family.

We moved them out of the flood-zone barrio, which flooded on a yearly basis, and built a solid, comfortable, and secure home in a dry and safe neighborhood.

Today, Rosana received the final title documents to the land!

We are so happy that this family has a permanent, solid, dry home, for generations to come.

I think the smile says it all—pride of ownership, and the relief that they will never be flooded out of their home again. This was the old house:
