Another Family Is Safe
Thanks to the generous support of our donors, another earthquake-survivor family in Nepal has a permanent, comfortable home.
MicroAid just finished rebuilding a house in the Kathmandu Valley for the Kayastha family, whose original home was damaged beyond repair in the 2015 earthquake. Even though the dangerous, rickety structure could have collapsed and killed them at any time, they were living there anyway—they had no other choice.
We took down the old dangerous structure and built this…
Below is part of the ceremony the family had to thank us… to thank MicroAid and our group of donors.
I have included a recent article about the situation in Nepal since 2015. It talks about how most of the 650,000 homes that were destroyed have not been rebuilt, and how working in the urban areas, which MicroAid does, is especially difficult.
Nobody else is doing what we do! It is complex, time-consuming, and expensive.
Your donations have had an incredible impact, so far, so please contribute again, now, so we can continue helping more families in Nepal… and around the world. It is really quite simple: the more funds we have the more people we can help.
Thank you.
Wishing you all the best,
Jon
