While we were selecting and vetting our next beneficiary family in Nepal, MicroAid was completing the previous home for another earthquake-survivor family. As you may recall, we started with our family's damaged home on their tiny lot down an alley. Going for the Gold (February 2026)
I’m happy to report that we have already vetted a new beneficiary family in Nepal and begun the process of building them a new permanent house to replace the one they lost in the earthquake of 2015. Since that devastating event, which destroyed 650,000 homes in Nepal, our family (the mom and two daughters) has been living in a rented two-room apartment.
