Last year at this time, MicroAid finished building a permanent house for a flood-survivor family in Paraguay—the wonderful Figueredo family.

We moved them out of the flood-zone barrio, which flooded on a yearly basis, and built a solid, comfortable, and secure home in a dry and safe neighborhood.

Today, Rosana received the final title documents to th...

Thanks to the generous support of our donors, another earthquake-survivor family in Nepal has a permanent, comfortable home.

MicroAid just finished rebuilding a house in the Kathmandu Valley for the Kayastha family, whose original home was damaged beyond repair in the 2015 earthquake. Even though the dangerous, rickety structure could have collapsed...

MicroAid is doing great—we’re building more homes for disaster-survivor families than ever, and we’re getting good press and attention. (Jon’s recent interview here: https://barcrawlradio657268108.wpcomstaging.com/2019/04/05/bcr-36-microaid-internationals-jon-ross/)

Our fourth project in Nepal is complete!

This means, with our donors’ support, MicroAid has given another family—and generations to come—a safe, comfortable, permanent place to live. The Nakarmi family’s home was severely damaged and made unsafe to live in the 2015 earthquake.

We retrofitted and reinforced the interior walls and floors, and c...

While the world is focused on the latest disasters, MicroAid continues to help survivors who lost their homes in the 2015 earthquake in Nepal.

MicroAid just completed another repair/retrofit for a family in Nepal, where 750,000 homes were destroyed in 2015—very few have been rebuilt.

Around the world, MicroAid is quietly and consistently getting peo...

I am happy to report that our second project in Nepal is complete—on-time and on budget, thanks to our new in-country project manager, Nabina Duwal.  Since the father of the Syama family died last year and there was no other family to help them, MicroAid stepped up to repair and retrofit their home, which was severely damaged in the e...

Dear MicroAid supporters:

I hope all is well with you.  At this time of thanksgiving, I want you to know how much I appreciate your support.

This is the time of year when we evaluate our lives and realize how lucky we are, and how thankful we are, for all that we have.  In so many other parts of the world, every day is a life-and-death struggle again...

When a natural disaster strikes somewhere in the world, like the recent earthquakes in Italy and in Myanmar, people often ask, “What can I do to help?”

Here at MicroAid, we have the answer: Go and rebuild people’s homes and get them back to their normal lives!

I am happy to report that the MicroAid house for our beneficiary family in Nepal is complet...

The houses in the Philippines are done and I am back in the USA.

The families are so happy now that they have solid homes that will withstand future storms and last for generations to come.

I just got word from our partner in Myanmar that a small project that MicroAid initiated—to deliver water filters to a clinic in a village that was affected by Cyclone Nargis—has been completed.

It was a small gesture of humanitarian aid that we could accomplish in an otherwise difficult work environment.

Usually, I don’t leave the field until a pr...
